Ways of working & commitments
We invest in the invisible work.
Agatsu invests in the systems behind care so that every interaction — from a Community Centre conversation to a therapy session — feels safe, ethical and accountable.
Supervision
Everyone who holds space for others — therapists, Listeners, facilitators — works with regular supervision and peer review, so no one carries the weight alone.
Safeguarding
Clear policies and trained points of contact protect the people who come to us, especially those most at risk. Concerns are taken seriously and acted on.
Training
Regular, ongoing training keeps our team and volunteers skilled, current and consistent in how they care.
Referral pathways
When a need falls outside what we can safely offer, we have tested pathways to refer people onward — carefully and with consent.
Staff & volunteer wellbeing
The people who care for others need care too. We invest in the wellbeing of our team and volunteer network as a first-order concern.
Privacy & data
We collect the minimum we need, keep clinical information tightly access-controlled, and handle personal data in line with India’s DPDP Act. Clinical content never travels over WhatsApp.
These commitments are living — we review them, learn from what doesn’t work, and are honest about our mistakes.
