Some people come to Agatsu to learn. Others come to meet people, express themselves, seek support or access therapy. However you’re starting, there’s a place to begin.

Behind these experiences are three parts of Agatsu — the Community Centre, Therapy Clinic and Learning Studio — which work together to make each of these five doors possible.

Community Centre

A place where mental health is part of everyday life.

The Community Centre is a welcoming space where people come to learn, connect, express themselves and spend time with others. Whether you’re trying something new, meeting people or simply looking for a place to be, you’re welcome here.

Therapy Clinic

Evidence-based mental health care.

The Therapy Clinic provides affordable therapy for people who need more structured support. Our therapists work alongside you to help you better understand your experiences and move towards the changes that matter to you.

Peer Support

Sometimes it helps to talk to people who’ve been there.

Peer Support brings together people with shared experiences to listen, learn and support one another. These groups aren’t therapy — they’re spaces where no one has to navigate life’s challenges alone.

Listeners

Sometimes you don’t need answers. You need someone to listen.

Listeners are trained volunteers who offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space to talk. They don’t provide therapy or advice, but they will listen and, where appropriate, help you find other forms of support.

Learning Studio

Making mental health knowledge easier to understand and use.

The Learning Studio develops workshops, trainings, resources and public education that translate research, lived experience and practice into knowledge people can use in everyday life.
